Patrick McDowell is a Vice President in Segal Marco Advisors’ Chicago office with over 5 years of investment consulting experience. Mr. McDowell focuses on the firm’s Discretionary Services (“Outsourced CIO”) program, which oversees approximately $11 billion in institutional assets. He oversees the operations of the Segal Marco Group Trust as well as the day-to-day implementation and monitoring of the firm’s discretionary portfolios. Mr. McDowell also serves as the technology liaison responsible for overseeing the firm’s proprietary wire system, in addition to providing general consultant support to a wide range of clients. He is a member of the firm’s Portfolio Management and Fiduciary Operations Committees.
Mr. McDowell joined Segal Marco Advisors in 2013. Prior to joining the firm, Patrick worked at Nuveen Investments where he oversaw the administration of over 250 mutual funds. Prior to that, he worked in public accounting at Grant Thornton LLP.
Mr. McDowell received his Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He received a Master of Science in Finance magna cum laude from the University of Notre Dame, Mendoza College of Business.
Mr. McDowell is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. McDowell also holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation.
