From its beginning, Segal Marco Advisors has continually evolved to proactively meet the needs of our clients.
We’re part of Segal, an independent HR and employee benefits consulting firm founded in 1939 by Martin E. Segal in a single office in New York City. In the 1960s, Segal began evaluating investment performance for sponsors of retirement plans, expanding its work throughout the decade.
As the decade ended, the Securities and Exchange Commission-registered entity Segal Advisors, Inc., was incorporated in New York State to provide investment consulting services.

In our early years, we added manager search and selection to our core performance measurement reporting service.
As investing became increasingly complex, we kept pace by evaluating emerging asset classes and new investment managers.
We’ve made acquisitions to expand the services we offer our clients, including asset-liability modeling (ALM) and in-depth, proprietary research as well as corporate engagement and proxy voting services.
